Commedia dell’Arte Day, 25th February 2011

With great pleasure I had the possibility to represent South Australia as an Italian performer of the Original form of Commedia dell’Arte, for the 2011 World wide birthday celebrations of this ancient, yet very actual, craft.

I had the honour to be invited as special guest by Ms. Maria Ferrone, of the Southern Montessori School, in O’Sullivan Beach. As part of the whole event and celebration the kids had a special Italian day, with my performance, then ice cream & in the afternoon the assembly with their performance of Commedia characters. A day that myself and my wife really enjoyed.

The performance that I proposed is Circommedia, a mixed bag of very energetic Commedia with the use of some  circus and magic, plus a great deal of audience involvement, studied and developed specifically for primary school kids!!

Check Maria’s review to see it with someone else’s eyes!

Thank you again for the invite!

Stay blogged,
